We provide rehabilitation focused on helping dogs move better, feel better, and live longer in their golden years by your side.

How We Can Help Your Furry Best Friend

Senior dog mobility

Senior dogs deserve to feel good in their golden years. Our program helps improve comfort, independence, and daily function. We address concerns such as :

  • Arthritis

  • Muscle weakness

  • Joint stiffness

  • Loss of coordination

  • Difficulty changing positions such as standing from sitting or laying down

  • Unable to stand to pee or poop

  • Activity avoidance such as stairs, getting in/out of cars or long walks

  • Weight Management

When surgery isn’t feasible, we can offer conservative management

Not all dogs are surgical candidates. We provide a gentle, non-invasive rehabilitation approach for managing orthopedic and neurological issues. Just like physical therapy in the human world, we provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, pain relief techniques, home exercises, and equipment recommendations to keep your dog moving safely and comfortably. We also guide you in making small but meaningful home modifications. These changes can dramatically improve your dog’s day-to-day function.

Pain relief and chronic symptoms management

Pain affects how your dog moves, sleeps, eats, and interacts with the world. Whether from injury (such as sprain or strain), chronic condition, or age-related changes, we treat pain at its source. Using a combination of physical therapy techniques, we help your dog regain comfort and confidence to just be a dog and do dog things again.

We’ll show you how to recognize signs of pain, incorporate calming manual techniques and movement strategies, use safe modalities, and assistive equipment at home

Rehabilitation for postoperative healing and strengthening

Just as in humans, rehabilitation after surgery is critical to ensure proper healing and regain mobility whether your dog had a TPLO, spinal surgery, or fracture repair, we provide targeted recovery plans that promote tissue healing, reduce swelling, regain strength, flexibility, and stability and as part of the process we teach pet parents how to perform simple exercises, safe ways to assist with standing, walking, and stair use, signs to watch for during recovery and guided return to activity

  • The Foundation of Physical Therapy

Targeted movements to improve strength, balance, and coordination (e.g., cavaletti rails, weight shifting, sit-to-stand exercises).

  • The Power of Therapeutic Touch

Hands-on techniques such as soft tissue mobilization (including Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), manual gentle stretching, muscle facilitation or inhibition techniques, and joint mobilizations to reduce pain and improve range of motion and flexibility.

  • The Brain to Toes Connections

After brain, spine, or nerve injuries, patients may lose sensation and motor control. Neuro re-education involves activities to retrain the brain to interpret sensory input correctly and stimulate neuromuscular responses. These techniques improve the body's ability to stabilize itself through balance training (ex. simple static stands to dynamic activities on unstable surfaces such as foam pads, balance boards, and wobble boards) to challenge the proprioceptive system. The therapist uses their hands to guide the movement and/or gentle electrical stimulation on muscles to facilitate the correct movement pattern.

  • Tools to Help Your Dog Do Dog Things Again

We provide advice on a wide range of equipment, including:

    • Support Harnesses & Slings: For stability during walks, assistance with stairs, and help after surgery.

    • Dog Ramps & Steps: To safely access vehicles, furniture, or beds without jumping.

    • Orthotics & Prosthetics (Braces & Artificial Limbs): We can recommend resources for custom support after injury or for congenital conditions.

    • Mobility Carts (Dog Wheelchairs): To restore freedom to dogs with severe hind limb or full-body weakness.

    • Home Safety Items: Non-slip mats, protective booties, and raised feeding bowls to create a secure environment.

  • We Enpower You to Help Them

Through compassionate, customized care, we work to help pups but also their people who love them. Our goal is to empower pet parents with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to support their dog’s journey at home and beyond. We will provide guidance on small home modifications that can make a big impact on safety and we teach you fun and effective exercises or techniques that will accelerate your dog’s progress at each session.
